Modding, Scenario/AI scripting of anything.
Just wanted to ask if any of you could help me mod aoe2 and rise of nations. Just wanted to disable buildings and units in custom scenarios and remove territory. Of what I've found on the internet, not much is helpful and has rather quick explanations that are complex. So far I've managed to make the max. pop. limit 500, I also wanted to see I could make a map thats larger than the defaults. In AoE 2 I would like to add a civilisation and change the resources, and is there anything on the internet to make ships sink more realistically. Could anyone please help me,
Thanks
Thanks

Nope, but I've been on Heaven Games a lot recently, and I've been using AGE 3. These are some links for future reference.

Learnt a good amount on how to use age for modding AOE2, and RON just needs values changed in certain .xml files.

MrMew: In AOE2 Scenarios, you can disable individual units (and buildings, and researches) in one of the tabs. (I think its just called 'Options')
As for bigger map sizes, I don't know of a way to go above 'Giant', and I've never tried adding a civilization, but from what I've read it is a somewhat complex process.
For more realistic ship sinkings..........well I can only recommend AOE 3 for that
I'd be happy to have a go at doing new sinking animations for ships, but I've got no idea how to get a hold of the tools needed to work with AOE 2 models in 3DS Max.
And I've never played Rise Of Nations.

I wanted to disable buildings for Rise of Nations, but I got that sorted, as for adding civilizations you need userpatch etc etc. If you wish to add/edit any units to aoe, aoe2, ror, aoc, swgb, I strongly suggest using AGE3. Like I said before see the links for more info.
